The Hou 16 is the big brother to our Hou 15, one of our best centre/school models. It’s a modern style canoe with a flatter hull shape that shows a very shallow arch. This makes it ideal for teaching and letting children go and have fun on the water. The boat will still work well for adults allowing all types of paddling with ease.

Hull material: Polyethylene three-layer foam core sandwich.
Standard Spec: Tandem set up with two seats, and carrying yoke.
Hull shape description: The Hou 16 canoe was designed by Colin Broadway and is based on a very shallow arch hull design which gives the paddler(s) great initial stability but also allows for maneuverability and tracking. The carrying capacity is good due to the depth of the boat at 15” and this has always been a strong selling point for schools and Centres where they need to be able to load the boat up as much as possible. With the 16 being a foot longer than the Hou 15 it will carry even more weight and or even more children! This really is a great all-round canoe that will not disappoint in a private or commercial environment.
With this being a Legacy product, we only mould in batches and normally out of the summer season so please contact us directly to discuss your requirements and relative time scales.
